In November of 2007, I won a Girls Aloud birthday card competition. The idea was to  create a birthday card for the Girls Aloud member, Kimberley Walsh. For my birthday card, I drew a portrait of her & then scanne dit into the computer & wrote a birthday message on it for her. You can see this below:

 I eventually ended up winning the competition & the prize was amazing! A phonecall from Kimberley Walsh herself!

It took 'til March 2008 for the phonecall to come - but it was worth the wait.

I was only 15 at the time & extremely nervous, finding it hard to get my words out - but i managed. You can hear the phoncall in the YouTube video below:

If you've listened to the phonecall, you will know that I asked Kimberley if I'd be able to meet her & the rest of the band while they were on tour so that I could show them my large A1 group portrait of the band. She agreed to this & I then went on to meet the band at their concert in Newcastle, UK on 25th May 2008.
